Au Cheval, Art Museum

I rode my bike to Au Cheval around 4:30 PM, the secret to getting a table at Au Cheval is to go early. I stood out front and waited for Barb to arrive and find parking. She was wearing a Orange Romper with a frilled shoulder line. We were sat in the last booth down the main line along the windows, I noticed the table was cut and notched to fit around a column, making my side of the booth slightly smaller.

We each ordered a single, which is actually a doubleº and fry to share with Garlic aioli. The burgers were
delicious albeit a bit salty. But the fries were awesome, and that damn aioli ± basically garlic paste and mayo are the way to my heart…

We chatted about our respective days and in that conversation, she mentioned a former client of mine
contacting her and stressing she should start an influencer blog for beauty and fashion. I told her I
completely agreed and thought it would be a fantastic idea. Through the normal course of conversation, she poked through her phone and found date-night questionnaires, both tame and steamy.

After our meal, we packed the bike into the trunk of the car and headed to the MCA, the Murakami exhibit was in town and Tuesday were residents’ night at MCA. We parked two blocks away and walked to the museum, holding hands – me constantly outpacing her, as I always have. There was virtually no wait and we headed to the top floor for the exhibit, and slowly made our way down each level and briefly looked at the collections. We left the gift shop with a book of postcards, and walked back to the car.

We took surface streets home driving through the Viagra triangle, then onto Diversey, finally right onto Milwaukee and towards home. Stopping at Starbucks for a Grande Matcha Green tea unsweetened, scones and brownie. As we approached our neighborhood I stopped at the newly opened Binny’s, I went into the store by myself to pick up a cigar, and left with a half bottle of dessert wine, Frost Bitten, two small glasses, a bottle opener as well as my cigars. An Avo-Syncho for A-date night. Once home I lit a fire in our fire pit and we sat and drank the bottle of wine together.
